Delhi Kintsugi
Zoe Cromwell
2014
Acrylic, paper, string, foil
18” x 15” x 15”

The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metals – kintsugi – puts value on objects many would consider of no further use. In fact it makes the object worth more than before. The water bucket is a common sight in Zamrudpur, and this piece is about how this community has infinite value in God's eyes.
